Meeting Minutes

A parent meeting of Huaxia Bergen Chinese School was held on May 20, 2007 at Paramus Catholic High School.

Meeting agenda: 1. To vote through Wang Hong, the candidate recommended by the Parent

Council, as the principal for the 2007-2008 school years

2. Elect the new members of the Parent Council for the 2007-2008 school years

The meeting was hosted by the chair of current Parent Council Luo shuling and the vice chair Li Yan. Each member of the current Parent Council made a brief speech on the meeting and the candidates introduced themselves as well.

Total number of parents who voted : 289

Total valid votes: 275

Void votes: 14

Vote counts on Wang Hong as Principle:

Approval: 259

Against: 9

Abstention: 7

There were also 4 votes for Yang Jianhong and 4 votes for Xu Wei as the new principle

Based on the vote counts, Wang Hong was approved by the parent meeting as the principal for the 2007-2008 school years.

According to our school by-law, the candidates with top 7 vote counts are the members for the 2007-2008 school years. The chair and vice chair of the new Parent Council will be selected by the new members.

Thanks to Chen Tong, Xie Linchi, Pan Qunling, Ye Kai, Zuo Qing and Wu Jing, parents who volunteered in the vote counting. The vote countig was processed at the site of the meeting and monitored by the current Parent Council member Chang Lehua, Liang Meiyan, Hang Jing and Sheng Yilin. The information above was based on their counting results.
