School Notice (10/12/08 school open)

Dear Parents,

1. The school will open this Sunday, Oct 12th, 2008.

2. A new track & field class started last week, if your kid is interested, please register with Chen Yang in school.

3. School By-law Review/Update: The new By-law drafting process was originally started from 2007. During school joint executive committee meeting held on 10/21/07, all members unanimously agreed to better accommodate school's growth and to eliminate flaw and deficiency in the existing By-law, it's necessary that we review and update the existing HXBG School By-law. After the parent meeting held on 11/25/07, By-law committee starts the new By-law drafting process. The school new By-Law (draft1) was posted on school's website from 3/9/08 - 5/17/08 for parents review and input. From 6/15/08, the By-law committee received many suggestions and comments, and posted revised By-Law (draft2) on school's website. The school joint executive committee and the By-law committee also agreed that the new By-law must be reviewed by lawyer to ensure it follows state and federal requirements for non-profit organization. After lawyer's review and months of drafting and reviewing, the new By-law is now ready for all members' review and approval.
