School Notice (11/2/08 school open, DST over)

Dear Parents,

1. The school will open this Sunday, Nov. 2nd, 2008. At 2 a.m. this Sunday, clocks will be turned back one hour, marking the end of Daylight Saving Time (DST).

2. Middle-term exam will be held this Sunday (11/2), all grades that have more than two classes will have uniform test.

3. Here is the new school By-law's voting result on 10/26/2008, 125 members voted for the new By-Law, 3 voted against, and 0 abstained. Please check here for the new school By-law.

4. In order to raise the interest for our students to learn Chinese, our school from grade one to grade four will have a writing contest on 11/9, all parents please contact the teacher for details.

5. Timesbook.com will have book show this Sunday (11/2) in cafeteria.

6. Important Notices:

If anyone or any company want to post advertisements on the wall, you must get approvals from school officials, please contact Principal Hu Xueling (shirlychen63@yahoo.com) or PTA chairman Wang Hong (monahongwang@yahoo.com).

All parents and students should respect school property, especially the piano in the lounge, and shouldn't encourage kids to play on the piano. Playing piano there will not only leave bad impressions to the high school officials (we were warned before on this issue), but also can cause disruption in teaching and learning since the sound travels very far. Please practice piano at home! Violators will be fined.

Parents and students are not allowed to stay in the hallway or outside of the class room, to avoid disrupting teachers and impacting quality of teaching. For students who don't have class for the 2nd section, please go to room# 214.
