Huaxia Bergen School Notice (School Open on 03/30/2014)
Dear Parents,
1. Chinese school will be open this Sunday on March 30, 2014.
2. Please be advised that the school calendar in the website has been updated. Please review and plan your schedule accordingly.
4/20/14---school closed due to Easter Sunday
5/4/14-----school closed due to HQ Track & Field Game at Plainsboro.
6/15/14---final exam
6/22/14---graduation
3. 2014 Metlife - Huaxia Track & Field Games will be held at Plainsboro on Sunday, May 4th. Our school administrative team encourages all parents and students to participate since our school has not joined the games for a while. It will be a great time for us to build up our strength and make friends. Wei Han will be leading our team, please contact him at whan48@yahoo.com if you are interested. This school day will be canceled if there are a sufficient number of students participating. Please see the details,

4. The 2014 HuaXia Debate Contest will be held on 04/27. In order to prepare for the contest and select students to represent our school, we will have our school debate contest on this Sunday in the Chapel located on 2nd floor. Parents are welcome to watch the contest.
5. There will be an education seminar from 09:45AM-12:00PM in Room #125. Please see the details,

6. There are nine board members (Board of Directors) in our Huaxia Chinese School at Bergen, Inc. Two board members will retire and we need to elect two new board members this year.
According to our school bylaw, the eligibility for electing new board members are:
Member: a. student over age 18 who is registered in a minimum of one class per semester.
b. parent, legal guardian or grandparent of a student under age 18
who is registered in a minimum of one class per semester.
c. current teacher, program coach, or administrative staff member.
Non-member: interested in promoting Chinese education. Such individual shall be nominated
for election to the Board by the incumbent Board of Directors.
We prefer someone who has two year experiences of teaching or working or volunteering in our school. If you wish to apply for or you know someone who is a good candidate, Please send us a brief message about the nominee qualifications.
