Huaxia Bergen School Notice (School Open on 10/8/2017)

华夏博根中文学校董事会于2017年10月1日上午在Montvale召开本学年第一次全体董事会议。会议就学校预算，春晚筹备，校委会换届，教师制度，学校收费等议题进行了讨论。另外，会议也就最近出现的一些问题如教师离职，课程安排，学生志愿者安排等相互交换了意见。首先，董事会感谢包括校委会，老师，家长在内的所有志愿者为中文学校所付出的辛勤劳动和无私奉献！其次，为保障学校未来稳定健康持续的发展，董事会一致认为有必要制定更加完善的规章指南以保障校委会换届和交接工作的顺利进行，提高教师队伍素质及增强师资力量储备等。同时，为加强同广大家长和老师的沟通合作，增加透明度，董事会及校委会将安排同家长，老师的见面会 (10月8日周日上午11:30分在学校餐厅)，对大家普遍关心的话题进行现场解答和讨论。学校的相关账目及审计结果也会尽快公布。最后，董事会呼吁所有老师，家长及各届朋友继续支持学校的各项工作，维护学校的安定团结，为孩子们创造一个良好的学习环境。

The first School Board of Directors meeting was held on October 1, 2017 at Montvale. Following topics were discussed: 2017-2018 school budget, new school administration committee, teacher regulations, registration/member fees, etc. The board members also exchanged opinions on several other topics such as resignations of some teachers, assignment of school volunteers.

The BD acknowledged the great dedication and contribution by all volunteers including administration staff, teachers and parents! To ensure a stable, continuous and healthy growth of the school, the BD unanimously agreed to develop more detailed guidelines on election/transition of school administration committee, qualification and training of teaching staff, etc.

To improve the communication and collaboration with parents and teachers and to improve the transparency, BD and school administration committee will organize a face-to-face meeting with parents and teachers to address critical issues and concerns (October 8th Sunday 11:30 am in school cafeteria). Furthermore, the school account information and financial audit results will also be disclosed to the public in due course.

Finally, the BD would like to ask all teachers, parents and friends to continue to support the Chinese school, help maintain the school integrity to create a good academic environment for all students!
