Huaxia Bergen Chinese School Notice (School Open on 4/16/2023)
Dear Parents,
1、春假结束，华夏博根中文学校将于2023年4月16日上实体课！华夏博根全体工作人员和老师们在我们熟悉的校园等着你！
2、董事会通知：一年一度的董事选举已开始了，尚衍文、谢宜（Eva Xie)和陈作新（Joe Chen）被推举为今年的董事候选人，候选人简历已发布在中文学校微信群，希望大家多关注董事会有关选举通告，积极参与投票选举。
根据HXBG School baylaw (ARTICLE V- B- 4)的要求，学校每位董事的任期为三年。2023年我校有三位董事任期届满，根据“Huaxia Chinese School at Bergen (HXBG) 2023 Board Director Election Guidelines”，2023年4月20-23日将进行换届选举。
由于Paramus Catholic High School还不允许家长进入和逗留，因此我们将继续沿用Google form 的形式投票。我们会将选票Email给每一位有投票资格的成员。由于每个18周岁以下的注册学生的家庭都有两票（不论有几位注册学生），因此为了保证每一位成员都能行使自己的权利，以及能充分体现本人的意愿，现收集每个家庭用于注册的电子邮箱以外的另一个电子邮箱，以便于我们能直接发送选票至每一位有投票资格的成员手中。请大家于2023年4月19日11:59pm前填写下列表格，以利于我们的选举工作按期进行。

填表说明
1. 在校注册学生未满18周岁，则学生父母均有投票资格，则需填写此表提供除注册用电子邮箱外的另一个邮箱。
2. 在校注册学生未满18岁，且只有一个监护人，则无需填写此表。
3. 在校注册学生为成年人，且家庭中还有未满18周岁的注册学生，以未成年注册学生计票，不重复计票。则此家庭需要填写此表。
4. 在校注册学生年满18周岁，本人具有投票权，则无需填写此表。
5. 学校的董事会、校委会、老师等工作人员，如果家中有未满18周岁的注册学生，按此注册学生计票，不重复计票，则需要填写此表。
6. 学校的董事会、校委会、老师等工作人员，本人具有投票资格，如果家里没有未满18周岁的注册学生，则无需填写此表。
3、2023华夏智力竞赛报名继续中，项目包括：围棋 (Go)、象棋 (Xiangqi)、国际象棋 (Chess)、五子棋 (Wuziqi)、数独 (Sudoku)、桥牌等，欢迎有才能的同学、老师及家长们积极参与，报名要求及表格附下。请将填写好的报名表发到领队刘一帆老师的邮箱：Sliu07652@yahoo.com
4、经与租用高中PCHS多次协商，对方同意四年级以下的学生由家长进入教学楼drop off 和pick up，仅限于接送孩子，上课时间严禁家长滞留在教学楼里。教学楼设有3个出入口，请参照下面学校地图，3个门在图上分别有标记，

Dear Parents,
1. The spring break is over, Huaxia Bergen Chinese School will hold physical classes on April 16, 2023! All the staff and teachers of Huaxia Bergen are waiting for you on our familiar campus!
2. Notice from the Board of Directors: The annual election of directors has begun. Shang Yanwen, Eva Xie and Chen Zuoxin (Joe Chen) have been elected as candidates for this year’s directors. The resumes of the candidates have been posted on the Chinese school’s WeChat group. I hope that everyone will pay more attention to the election announcement of the board of directors and actively participate in voting.
According to the requirements of HXBG School Bylaws (ARTICLE V-B-4), the term of office of each member of the Board of Directors is three years. This year, the term of three directors of our school has expired and a general election will be held. Based on the“Huaxia Chinese School at Bergen (HXBG) 2023 Board Director Election Guidelines,” April 20th to 23rd will be the voting period.
Since Paramus Catholic High School does not allow the parents to enter and stay in the school, our voting will be conducted in the form of a Google Form. We will use email to send the ballot to everyone who is eligible to vote. In order to ensure that each member can exercise their rights and fully reflect their wishes, we will collect an additional email address for each family in addition to the email address used for registration, so that we can directly send votes to each registered voter regardless of family association. Please fill out the following form before April 19th, 2023 at 11:59pm to facilitate our election work on schedule.

3. Registration for the 2023 Huaxia Quiz Competition is ongoing. The events include: Go, Xiangqi, Chess, Wuziqi, Sudoku, Bridge, etc. Talented students and teachers are welcome Parents and parents actively participated, the registration requirements and forms are attached. 4. After repeated negotiations with PCHS, the rented high school, the other party agrees that students below the fourth grade will be dropped off and picked up by their parents in the teaching building. They are limited to picking up and dropping off children. Parents are strictly prohibited from staying in the teaching building during class hours. There are 3 entrances and exits in the teaching building. Please refer to the school map below. The 3 entrances are marked on the map.
