Huaxia Bergen Chinese School Notice (New School Year starts on 9/7)

Dear Parents,

充实而愉快的暑期生活即将结束，新学年的脚步已悄然而至。华夏博根中文学校将于 2025年9月7日迎来 2025–2026 学年的第一周课程。欢迎所有新老同学返回校园，与老师和同伴们共同开启新的学习旅程。
1. 学校主要入口为教学楼后 parking lot 对面的 North cafeteria 入口，校委会的办公地点设在 North cafeteria，办理课程咨询、注册、换课、领书等事宜。
2. 学校上课时间为 9:30am–1:00pm，上课地点：Paramus Catholic High School，425 Paramus Road，Paramus, NJ 07652。请同学们根据老师的要求准备好学习用品，并提前 10 分钟到校。9月5日前已完成注册缴费的学生，中文课本可在教室领取；其他学生需在完成注册后到 North cafeteria 购领。
3. 家长将孩子送到教室门口后，请不要在教室内停留。为保证课堂教学质量，请家长不要进入教室，除非得到任课教师许可。
4. 上课期间请家长避免在走廊逗留或交谈，学校开放 North cafeteria 供家长休息，请移步至 cafeteria，以免影响教学秩序。

🌟2025 秋季新增课程🌟
【语言艺术类】
少儿朗诵与演讲：由专业主持人授课，培养语言表达与舞台表现力，提升自信心与演讲能力。

【科技类】
1. 算法入门 Intro to Algorithms（5–8 年级）：培养计算思维，学习基础算法与数据结构。
2. Micro:bit 及 AI 启蒙（3–6 年级 / 5–9 年级分组）：动手实践硬件编程，探索人工智能。

【体育类】
• 太极拳与气功、太极剑：传统养生功法，强身健体，调节身心。9月7日是公开课，教室225，10:25-11:10am，欢迎所有感兴趣的家长和同学们参加。
• 乒乓球课程：学校与 Joyous Table Tennis Club (Waldwick, NJ) 合作，为学生和家长提供乒乓球课，专业教练指导，系统训练。

Dear Parents,

A fulfilling and joyful summer break is drawing to a close, and the new academic year is quietly approaching. Huaxia Bergen Chinese School will commence the first week of classes for the 2025–2026 school year on September 7, 2025. We warmly welcome all returning and new students back to campus to embark on a new learning journey with teachers and peers.

1. The main school entrance is the North Cafeteria entrance, located across from the rear parking lot of the academic building. The School Committee office is situated in the North Cafeteria, where you may handle course inquiries, registration, class changes, and textbook pickup.
2. Classes are held from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Paramus Catholic High School, 425 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652. Students should prepare required supplies as instructed by teachers and arrive 10 minutes early. Students who completed registration and payment by September 5 may collect Chinese textbooks in the classroom; others must purchase textbooks at the North cafeteria after completing registration.
3. Parents should drop off students at classroom doors and refrain from lingering inside. To maintain classroom quality, parents may not enter classrooms without teacher permission.
4. During class hours, parents are asked to avoid lingering or conversing in hallways. The North cafeteria is open for parent use; please move to the cafeteria to avoid disrupting classroom activities.

🌟New Courses for Fall 2025🌟
【Language Arts】
Children's Recitation & Public Speaking: Taught by professional hosts, this course cultivates verbal expression and stage presence while boosting confidence and presentation skills.

【Technology】
1. Intro to Algorithms (Grades 5–8): Develop computational thinking through foundational algorithms and data structures.
2. Micro:bit & AI Exploration (Grades 3–6 / Grades 5–9 in separate groups): Hands-on hardware programming and AI discovery.

【Physical Education】
• Tai Chi, Qigong, & Tai Chi Sword: Traditional wellness practices for physical strength and mental-emotional balance. An open class will be held on September 7th in Room 225 from 10:25-11:10am. All interested parents and students are welcome to attend.
• Table Tennis Program: In partnership with Joyous Table Tennis Club (Waldwick, NJ), we offer structured training sessions with professional coaches for students and parents.
